  2008 International Tapir Symposium General Information and Terms

CONFERENCE PAYMENTS
Full payment is due with your reservation form in order to confirm your registration for the conference. The registration deadline is March 27, 2008. Registrations after this date are subject to availability. Acknowledgment will be sent to the E-mail address you give us when you register online. Registration will be confirmed via E-mail on receipt of payment and completion of registration.

International registrants: Please register in full online, including payment.

Local registrants: Please register in full online; if you need to pay at the conference, please register using our "register only" button and bring your payment on the day of the conference. We will accept cash and credit cards at the start of the conference.

CANCELLATION POLICY
  • All requests for refunds must be made in writing to info@tapirspecialistgroup.org.
  • Cancellations made prior to March 27, 2008: Full refund of the payment less a $40 handling charge.
  • Cancellation after March 27, 2008. Refund of the payment will be made up only of any recoverable balance less a $40 handling charge.

TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE
Trip Cancellation Insurance may be purchased separately, is available from vendors such as Travel Guard.

RESPONSIBILITY
Tapir Specialist Group and its fellow Symposium Sponsors act only as agents in obtaining transportation, including any and all forms utilized in the conduct of the conference, and other conference services or related travel activities. Symposium Sponsors accept no responsibility or assume liability for any loss, damage, accident, delay, or other irregularity caused by any reason including defect in any vehicle, or through the acts, defaults or bankruptcies of any company or person engaged in conveying the participant or providing transportation to the passenger or in the carrying out of the arrangements of, or related to the conference or related tours, or for any losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air schedules or other services, overbooking or sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine, civil disturbance or other causes. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the participant . Baggage, cameras, and other personal belongings are at the owner's risk throughout. Participants recognize and accept the fact that the conference activities may be conducted in natural areas where dangerous and venomous wild animals might be encountered over which the agent or its operators have no control or responsibility. Symposium Sponsors reserve the right to alter itinerary, eliminate arrangements, or provide similar categories of substitution at no penalty; to cancel the conference and its related activities prior to departure, with a full refund constituting full settlement to the participant. No refund will be made for any unused portion of the conference or its related activities or for "no shows." Registration and payment, the signing of the reservation form and/or the acceptance of conference registration, membership and/or of such coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts and tickets by the conference participant shall be deemed to be consent to all conditions and provisos in this document. All conference and tour prices are based on tariffs in effect at the time of their printing and are subject to change.
