Specialist Group Action Plans & PHVA Reports
Each of the 120 IUCN Specialist Groups
are required to prepare and publish a species Action Plan for their
respective species. These plans identify the actions necessary for
the survival of species. Each year, TSG organizes a Population Habitat
Viability Assesment meeting in order to focus on each individual
species. Together these PHVA reports will create a new Action Plan
to update and build upon the one we published in 1997. The
report from the 2005 Baird's Tapir PHVA is coming soon.
